moving back to the CA!

Hey everybody! its been a while but im having a fabulous time. After building houses in Biloxi MS my team came to LA (mostly New Orleans area) and have been living in state parks and churches doing environmental work. Out time is spent planting trees, removing invasive species, trail building, and leading volunteers in those activities. We got our next assignment and after spring break (im going to Vegas, Woo!) we will be moving to the San Bernadino mnts in Orange County, CA. We will be working as camp councelors at a science camp for fith and sixth graders. i dont have a lot of experience working with kids but i've heard great things about the project and am super pumped. For those of you who live in the area, i'll be and hour and half from LA and would love LOVE to take a long weekend and see some of you. i hope everyone is having as much fun as i am! take care, talk to you soon!

BABY GIRL!! it's so nice to hear from you in this arena.
my wish for future generations is:
as part of the undergrad degree program, all students should be required to complete 1 year of community service, such as the Americorps program or similar. in an
effort to expose people to different, albeit rewarding lives. i wish i had had some direction in this way in my early 20's. living vicariously...
